Privacy
How ETF Compass handles data.
ETF Compass is designed to be useful without requiring an account. This page explains the data involved when you choose app features, visit this publisher site, or interact with future advertising.
Calculation data and browser storage
Calculations are intended to run in the app on your device or browser. The app may use browser storage to remember preferences, onboarding state, and locally saved scenarios. Browser storage stays in that browser until you clear it or the app changes it. You can clear it through your browser settings; doing so can remove locally saved app data.
Optional account and cloud sync
If you choose to sign in, ETF Compass may use Firebase Authentication to manage the account and Cloud Firestore to store the scenarios and settings you choose to sync. This optional cloud data is associated with your account so it can be available on another signed-in device. You can use the calculator without signing in where local use is available.
Google tag, Privacy & Messaging, and future advertising
This site includes the standard Google AdSense tag and account metadata so Google Privacy & Messaging can present its choices where applicable. The site does not place ad units or manually request ads on these pages. If advertising is enabled in the future, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP address, device/browser information, and similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure, and personalize or contextualize ads as permitted by law and your choices.
Google’s information about ad technologies is available at How Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services.
Your choices
You can avoid optional sign-in, clear browser storage, and use your browser’s cookie or privacy controls. Where Google Privacy & Messaging makes a revocation control available, use Ad preferences. If that control is not available, the link remains on this privacy page so you can review these choices. Your browser, device, and local law may provide additional controls.
